Vail Colorado is the home to some of the finest ski mountains, condos and accomodations in North America... and the world. One of the most preferred alternatives to staying in a hotel while on you're ski vacation are Vail Colorado condos. There are so many options to choose from that without help, it could be a very difficult choice to make. However, be aware you can get a condo to fit any budget... from a studio to a deluxe house sized condo. Most condos are equipped with full kitchens, cable TV, shared pools and hot tubs, and fireplace.
In fact, renting a condo will let you have everything you need so you'll have a very comfortable stay in Vail. Renting a condo can actually be an inexpensive option for those on a tight budget. Even during the peak season, its possible to be able to find a Vail Colorado condo for just a few hundred dollars a night... which is a VERY good price!
Also, you can be sure that it will be a comfortable and warm place to relax, sleep and eat.
This doesn't mean that only budget condos are available in Vail. You can be sure there are plenty of expensive and fancy condos as well. Also, because there are so many units available, you won't have to spend a lot of time looking for your condo.
So, how do you do it? Well, thanks to the internet, there are many websites offering good, competitive deals and you can book a condo using their online reservation form.
For the more conventional vacationers, you can always check with the local real estate agents. Even buying a condo in Vail can be a profitable investment as a second home. There are many experienced property managers who can help you rent out your condo when you are not using it.
Usually during summer holidays, a one-bedroom condo can easily fetch anywhere from $150 to $450 a night. Be aware though that property management companies can and do charge 50% and up... of the rent you receive.
But, because of this, is where you can find real bargains.
You see, owners who rent their condos themselves can save 50% and more on commissions because they do rent it themselves. So.... you want to find the units rented out by the owners. You can literally save hundreds of dollars a night for top quality units. I know an owner who rents their unit in the most expensive time period during ski season for $450 a night. The other equal quality units in the same building rent for $700 and up per night.
In Vail you will find that most condos are close to the slopes or near the free shuttle route. In fact, the free shuttle is amazing. It runs every ten minutes and has numerous convenient stops in the entire Vail Valley.
If you're interested in buying a Vail Colorado condo in this beautiful ski resort, you should first figure out where you want your second home to be located. Vail is divided into four distinct areas:
* Vail Village
* Lionshead
* East Village
* West Village
Each area has its own unique features and offer many options either to rent or buy.
Since Vail was opened many years ago the most preferred area has always been Vail Village.
This is changing.
Lionshead has just finished a major renovation, spending many millions of dollars in the Lionshead Square. Plus, they have plans to spend one billion dollars and more in the Lionshead area in the next few years. They are also installing an additional gondola.
Many condos there are now costing two, three and up to eleven million dollars each. Obviously, at this time, purchasing or renting a condo in this area can be an expensive proposition for those on a tight budget.
East Village is popular with many skiers who spend their days skiing on the slopes and then spending time in their secluded condos and home rentals.
West Vail is adjacent to the ski resort and is quite close to the slopes, restaurants and pubs. However, West Vail offers convenience and solitude without being intrusive.
There are many resources to find information about vacation condos, rentals and lodging information. http://www.VailColoradoMountainVacation.com has many pages of information to help you "discover" the real Vail Colorado.
