Sometimes people think of little old ladies when they think of donning a silk scarf. But, remember...this fashion accessory have come along way! You can use them to complete your fashion look for any occasion, anywhere. Check the Internet for a plethora of options. You may just find a gorgeous gem that will perfectly accent your favorite outfit. How to Wear The most obvious way to wear silk scarves are in their traditional application... around your neck. When wearing them on your neck, you should pay special attention to the way in which they are tied or draped. The color, pattern, and embellishments of the scarf itself should be exquisite. But to really show it off, it should be worn well. There are several different knots, some simple and some more complex that can be used. If you do not want it knotted, then properly drape it around your neck instead. If the scarf doesn’t seem to want to stay in place, add a decorative shawl pin or brooch. If you would rather the pinning not show, you can use a safety pin from underneath your clothing, picking up a very small piece of the material, and holding it invisibly in place. Silk scarves are definitely not just to be worn around your neck. Using them as a head scarf is a beautiful way to make a look truly polished. Owning a bold scarf pattern as a head wrap shows your originality, confidence, and fashion sense. It is also a perfect solution to those bad hair days. Another popular way to wear them is as a belt. Scarves can be twisted or braided for a more structured belt, or left more open for a more delicate waist accessory. These are a very elegant fashion accessory to finish off your outfit. No matter the style of dress or the occasion, the addition of these will set you apart from the crowd. Whether bold or subdued, silk scarves help create a look all your own.
