Chemotherapy Head Scarves
By John Sousa
Hair loss due to chemotherapy is a fact many, if not all cancer patients need to accept. However, acceptance does not ease the stress associated with hair loss. Many people do not realize how important the crowning glory is until they're faced with the actual prospect of losing their hair. Thankfully, there are many different styles of chemotherapy head scarves available for people suffering from cancer treatment induced hair loss. It is advisable that cancer patients buy their chemotherapy head scarves before they start losing hair. It is best to be prepared before the loss begins. The idea is to ease the transition from having a head full of hair to waking up each morning and finding countless strands on your pillow. Online websites sell these scarves and if you buy them in advance, you will be well-prepared for that eventuality. It has been seen that many women are now choosing chemotherapy head scarves as opposed to wigs and other techniques to cope with their hair loss. These scarves are more comfortable than wearing wigs and they are also less expensive. They are especially comfortable during the warm summer months. Buying them in many different colors and styles allows the women a variety so they can better match the scarves to their attire. Chemotherapy head scarves offer women suffering from hair loss due to cancer treatment a sense of femininity. By wearing them, these women feel better about themselves. They do not feel so self-conscious and are better equipped emotionally to handle the hair loss and the treatment itself. This does not mean they will not get depressed seeing the hair loss go from bad to worse. But wearing head scarves will allow them to handle the depression better. Also, many feel less self-concious will be able to go outside, to the store, etc. rather than locking themselves at home. Women suffering from chemotherapy induced hair loss have to understand that their hair will grow back once the treatment is over or stopped. Most of the time, the hair loss is not permanent. Even after the hair grows back many women will be adept in tying the scarves in different ways and will consider the scarves more as fashion accessories and continue using them. |
